During this difficult time in our nation’s history, many individuals and families are undergoing unexpected financial hardship due to changes in employment status and income. If you are experiencing any such hardships that make it difficult for you to continue your studies at USMMA, or if you are considering resignation or a leave of absence, the Office of Financial Aid wants you to know that there are federal student aid programs available that might help you stay on course with your academic program.
Even if you have never filed a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or if you have not qualified for a Pell Grant in the past, a sudden change in income could impact your eligibility. Midshipmen who are incurring expenses related to online learning at home may also apply for financial aid to cover these costs. Please reach out to Ms. Lauri D’Ambra (firstname.lastname@example.org) in the Office of Financial Aid for more information and to discuss your individual situation.
Stay safe, and keep up the great work,
